What determines the level of ingredients within Suppleaze Gold?
The level of key ingredients is formulated to match those used within published research..
For example, the typical daily 27g dose of Suppleaze Gold provides 11g (11,000mg) of Glucosamine HCL with published research based on 10g Glucosamine daily.
The same 27g of Suppelaze Gold provides 4g (4,000mg) of Chondroitin Sulphate with published research based on 4g Chondroitin daily.
The latest specification Suppelaze Gold now provides 10g (10,000mg) MSM per 27g. This is recognised as the recommended daily amount of MSM for maximum benefit.
Why is the daily feeding amount of Suppleaze Gold less than many other supplements?
Quite simply, Suppleaze Gold does not contain any fillers of bulkers. Just 27g of Suppelaze Golds provides the levels of each key ingredient to match those used in published research.

Some supplements have a typical daily dose of approaching 100g! This is either because the product contains fillers/bulkers or the ingredients levels are excessive in an attempt to look favourable in comparison tables. These products are very costly to buy/use and giving excessively high ingredient levels is at best ‘probably’ just wasting your money with little or no actual additional benefit.

Glucosamine is the most well-studied ingredient in joint supplements.
Glucosamine is effective in relieving pain, sometimes in as short a time as 10 to 14 days.
An effective equine dose is 6,000 to 11,000 mg/day. The 10,000 mg dose is usually needed for horses that are being worked. This higher level is also recommended during the first week or two of any horse’s treatment, known as the “loading” period, which helps speed up results by getting a therapeutic level of the substance into the horse’s system.

Chondroitin Sulphate is a major structural component of cartilage, bone, and connective tissues. An effective equine dose is between 1,250 and 5,000 mg/day.

Suppelaze Gold provides 200mg per 27gAn essential component of cartilage and synovial fluid and acts as a cushion for bones as it resists compression and allows the joints to bear weight and oppose tension.
Glucosamine and chondroitin were being used in human arthritis patients before those ingredients were used with horses, but equine medicine was first when it comes to Hyaluronic Acid. It is an important component of both the cartilage itself and the joint fluid. Hyaluronic acid first appeared as an injectable drug in the 1970s. (It was actually on the black market from Europe and Canada for a few years before FDA approved its use in American products.)
Most recently, hyaluronic acid has been available as an oral supplement. Hyaluronic acid is particularly good for controlling pain, heat, and swelling. An effective equine dose is between 100 and 200 mg/day.
Addition of as little as 20 mg of hyaluronic acid to a glucosamine and chondroitin combination product may make a difference for some horses. In other cases, you will have to use the full 100-200mg dose

There is a recent trend with some supplement manufacturers to add very high doses of Vitamin C as a unique selling point, probably because the ingredient is relatively inexpensive.
This is an ingredient where more is not necessarily better. Excessive amounts may even damage cartilage.
It’s worth noting a horse’s body is capable of manufacturing its own vitamin C.
