I used to order Dickytummy from you… is this the same product?
We were told to change the name by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD), as they considered that the original name ‘Dickytummy’ constituted a ‘Medicinal Claim’.
We try to stay within the VMD regulations but their interpretation of what constitutes a medicinal claim can be difficult to establish.
Products supplied by the veterinary profession are generally expensive. When purchasing a veterinary supplied product you are of course also paying for expert veterinary advice and diagnosis. We would never advocate not seeking veterinary advice when required.
We see using Montytummy as the step before seeking veterinary advice. If your dog has loose motions then use Montytummy and it will usually stop straight away. If it lasts more than a couple of days then seek veterinary advice.
